Congratulations to Bytown Storm Members at OFSAA Track and Field Championships
Congratulations to Tristan Woodfine winning the midget boys 1500m and midget boys 3000m track events at OFSAA last weekend. Tristan set an impressive trail leading to the province wide wins, winning the local Track events, then the EOSAA events and finally at OFSAA.
Fellow Storm teammate Joanna Brown also won silver in the Junior Girls 3000m event with a personal best time. Joanna won her local and EOSAA 3000m event easily and was bumped out of the 1500m OFSAA final in a photo finish. Congratulations Joanna.

Age : 14
This is Tristan's second year with the Bytown Storm, if this season of racing is as good as his off-season has been he will certainly achieve his goal. Taking home Gold at the Ontario Games. This past month Tristan won Gold n the 1500m and 3000m OFSAA track and field championships, setting records in the 3000m all along the way. Amazing job Tristan keep up the good, hard work.

Ontario Games in Ottawa August 13-17th 2008
Triathlon makes it's debut at the Ontario Games this year and the Ottawa Region will be well represented by 4 Bytown Storm teammates. Joanna Brown, Jade Gregory, Tristan Woodfine and Nina Nesdoly qualified for the games last year.
Joanna is last year Eastern Canada's girls U15 Champion and Jade finished 9th in a very competitive field f over 30 triathlete's from Eastern Canada. Tristan finished 5th over all in an equally strong field and has worked amazingly hard over the off season to improve. Tristan recently set a new 3000m record finishing the 3k distance in 9:03:00. Nina rounds out the foursome, with limited triathlon experience but a strong run background, Nina qualified in Ottawa last year during the Westboro KOS race.
