Bytown Criterium Series

Wednesday Nights May to Aug

5:30pm to 8:00pm

Canadian Tire Place Kanata Ont

A criterium, or crit, is a bike race consisting of several laps around a closed circuit, the length of each lap or circuit ranging from about 800 m to 10,000 m

Join us for the only CRIT series developed for draft legal triathlon using a closed parking lot course between 600 an 1000m.  The crit series includes races, tactical training exercises, cornering and high speed cornering skill development, basic and advanced pack riding skills.  Drfat legal triathlon courses at the CAMTRI and ITU levels are getting more and more technical and as such successful athletes at this level need more than just time trialing skills.  Our Crit series includes races as well as sessions dedicated to developing the technical and tactical skills that encompass bike racing.   Motorpacing is used to start each session off to encourage large pack riding skills through corners.  Each week we design a different course based on an actual ITU course (based on course maps posted on ITU event websites).
