
The Bytown Triathlon Club offers year round multi sport
training programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
The club offers professional coaching, training and race preparation. Since 2001 Bytown Storm race team members have have won Provincial
Championships, National Regional Championships, awarded Quest for Gold Funding
and qualified for Provincial Race Teams. The Bytown Storm is Eastern Ontario's largest and most
successful youth triathlon team, this year we continue the tradition with The Bytown Storm X-Country team.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mandate of Bytown Triathlon Club is to provide programs that balance
technical and performance based training and to provide and promote fitness and
sport performance and development.
Offer athletes to develop at their own
pace in a comfortable and challenging environment, and offer programs based
upon proven up to date sport science philosophies.
To encourage and promote participation in start-finish line sports for athletes
of all levels, help athletes to perform at their highest level and to promote
safety in all aspects of fitness and training.
R EGISTRATION
1.
The Club
offers several seasonal training programs throughout the year, including but
not limited to, spring conditioning camps, sport strength and conditioning
programs, swim programs and summer camps. The programs are intended for
all levels of athletes wishing to increase their fitness level and work on
proper skill development. The programs will combine core strengthening,
linked system strengthening, plyometrics, cardio endurance and sport specific
skill development. The seasonal programs focus on swim, bike and run
skills combined with progressive cardio and power development workouts to
increase speed and power development and decrease energy expenditure.

The Club
also offers a Junior Competitive Program. This program, which runs in six
month blocks, is designed for athletes wanting to be challenged and seeking to
compete at their highest potential. In addition to the objectives set out
for the seasonal programs, the Junior Competitive Program includes personalized
training programs, nutrition plans, multiple coached sessions, a “Training
Peaks” account” and membership in the Ontario Association of Triathletes (OAT).

All members
of the Club intending to compete in races must register with the Ontario
Association of Triathletes (OAT). All athletes must compete in full club uniform, or Provinical or National team uniforms when otherwise directed.

Club membership fees are $125.00
per year.
