Triathlon Ontario Talent Identification Day

 TRIATHLON ONTARIO Talent ID day is a partnership with Triathlon Ontario,

Bytown Storm Triathlon and PEAK Centre for Human Performance


Triathlon is a multi discipline sport and tests athletes ability to develop and refine skill sets in three different endurance sports.  Triathlon is a natural choice for athletes who like the challenge of developing speed and endurance and the variety of training for 3 disciplines.  Triathlon Ontario is committed to developing Canada's next generation of National Team athletes and is partnering with Ottawa based PEAK Centre and The Bytown Club to assess and develop athletes across Ontario.

The Testing protocols include:

  • Athletic Strength and Movement Screening

  • WINGATE Bike Test

  • Swim assessment and 200m Timed Swim Trial

  • 1200m run Time Trial

Testing will be done by Triathlon Ontario Provincial Coach Greg Kealey and PEAK Centre for Human Performance Sport Science Experts. 

All participating athletes will receive a report of their results as well as information on programs and Triathlon Ontario's Development pathway and opportunities for further development. 

TESTING INFORMATION IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE

Sunday June 10th

Swim assessment 7:30am to 9:00am - Goulbourn Pool

Bike Assessment 8:30am to 10:00am - Goulbourn Recreation Centre

Run Assessment 9:30am to 11:30am Goulbourn Recreation Centre

Strength and Movement Screening 10:30 - 12:00pm Goulbourn Recreation Centre

Athletes will be scheduled based upon registration placement approximate time for all testing per athlete is 90 min
